Petals and Threads: Patterns in Nature and Needle — 2026 Calendar

I’m delighted to share the Petals and Threads 2026 calendar — a beautiful outcome of a collaborative project I organised with the Wellington Embroiderers’ Guild (WEG).

For this project, 20 members of the Guild each chose one of my original PlantArt designs and created an embroidered interpretation of it. The results are extraordinary — twelve pairs of works that reveal the unique beauty of both art forms. Each month of the calendar features a side-by-side image of the original plant artwork and its embroidered version, celebrating the colours, textures, and creativity that come from seeing nature through two different lenses.

The calendar is A4, wiro-bound, and printed on high-quality satin paper — perfect for hanging in your home or gifting to someone who loves art and nature.

All proceeds from sales will be donated equally to the New Zealand Plant Conservation Network (NZPCN) and the Wellington Embroiderers’ Guild (WEG), supporting plant conservation and community craft in Aotearoa.
