These are all exotic species that provide full-on, in-your-face colour in spring: camellia, daffodil, polygala, magnolia, rhododendron and iris. The flowers were mostly collected from people’s gardens, but I confess I bought the irises from the corner dairy. I often have a vague plan when I embark on a plant picture, but don’t really know how it will turn out until I get started. The end result of this one was – pretty colours, but disappointingly reminiscent of the 2 Dollar Shop.
