Summer stripes

Pōhutukawa (Metrosideros excelsa) flowers (mostly red, but some yellow) are hugely abundant in Wellington around Christmas time. Also featuring Chatham Island kakaha/astelia (Astelia chathamica) leaves and the divine orange flowers of taurepo/NZ gloxinia (Rhabdothamnus solandri). All New Zealand natives. This pic also illustrates why I MUST get a better camera and lighting gear sometime soon…
